Students Personal Development
We support personal development from the point of entry onwards via a structured approach that recognizes that each student will have a different set of aspirations and requirements. Personal development has been the core of the school offering. Many parents have seen a noticeable difference in their children after they have joined the Nordic International School, Lahore.
To promote this development, we use methods like daily observations where the teacher takes down daily notes about the child. The compiled observation gives a fair idea about the child’s development across different learning goals.
We offer students a wide variety of after-school clubs that stimulates students’ social, physical, and intellectual abilities through participation in activities with their school peers.
We actively provide the students with opportunities to express their ideas and creativity in forms of projects that they present in front of their parents and classmates.
The aim is to raise children to be independent learners, exploring their surroundings at an early age and to maintain that level of curiosity as they move forward in their academic careers.

Student Projects
Properties of ice
Early Years 1 students learn about the properties of ice by exploring Arctic ocean and the animals that live there, taking a trip to the Arctic Ocean, engaging in a snow fight, painting ice-cubes, learning the concept of sink and float, and exploring hot and cold weather.
Fine-motor skills
Our Early Years children develop and apply fine motor skill control through different activities within a range of relevant contexts. These activities help develop dexterity and strength in a child’s hand and is the first step in learning to color, draw and ultimately write.
Mission to Mars
Our Year 5 and Year 6 students are doing a research if life could be possible on planet Mars. They designed and created their Mars Rover Robots using construction kits, motors, sensors and Legos.
Learning about crocodile
Our Early Years 1 students clean up the river for crocodile, make a bridge with blocks for crocodile, and remove bad tooth from crocodile’s mouth. The lesson ends with storytime “A selfish crocodile”.
Gingerbread man
Early Years 2 students perform the gingerbread man story with their teacher and learn to sequence the beginning, middle and end of the story.
Dissection of fish
Year 3 and Year 4 students learnt about the different body parts of the fish and how it can be differentiated from other group of animals. The students also learnt how fish are suited (adapted) to a life spent in water.
Desert activity
Our Early Year 1 students explore how people live and travel across the desert. The students travel to South Africa in search of the Kalahari Desert, dress up like Bedouins, create a desert shelter, encounter snakes and make their own story book about camels.
Geological process
Year 5 and Year 6 students performed a series of experiments to observe some of the geological processes. In this task the students used stream table to observe the visible effects of moving water on a landscape.
Target game
Early Years children develop confidence, control and hand-eye coordination through activities which involve aiming, targeting and then shooting. This is essential for child development as these skills can help with day-to-day activities, such as walking, play and learning. Children who master coordination and control can climb and walk confidently.
Exploring weights
Early Years 2 students explore weights and identify heavy and light objects by performing floating and sinking activity.
